I remember really loving that film when I saw it. It was actually the film that made me want to go to Vienna. I went to Vienna for a weekend for myself because I wanted to go to all the places from 'Before Sunrise.' I was 17 when I saw that movie. That movie was one of the first movies that made me think about wanting to be a filmmaker myself. It’s not just a beautiful film about two people falling in love. It’s also like, wow, you can make a movie about two people just talking for two hours. It just opened up my mind to what a movie could be.

it’s the path as laid out by movies such as Before Sunset... Past Lives, on the other hand, subverts this expectation
