Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Cinema Atlas Incorporated ("Cinema Atlas", "we", "us"), which runs cinema-atlas.com. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Cinema Atlas.
Who Can Use Cinema Atlas
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Your Account
- Give an accurate email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the site or other people at risk.
What You Add
Your display name, lists, notes and share notes remain yours. You give us permission to store them and show them as the site needs to work, including to anyone who opens a share link you create. Do not add anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
Ask the Atlas
Ask the Atlas answers are written by an AI model, drawing on the Cinema Atlas catalogue. They can be wrong or incomplete, so check anything that matters to you before relying on it. Signed-out visitors can ask a limited number of free questions each day, and usage limits apply to everyone to keep the service available.

- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Cinema Atlas
- Send automated or bulk requests to search or Ask the Atlas
- Reproduce, republish, or redistribute our editorial content without permission

Content and Sources
Cinema Atlas's editorial writing, curation and the connections we draw between films belong to Cinema Atlas. Some material comes from others and remains theirs:
- Film information and images come from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
- Some director biographies are adapted from Wikipedia under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, credited on the page where they appear.
- Critical excerpts on director pages come from Senses of Cinema and are credited and linked there.
- Trailers are hosted and played by YouTube.
Where to Watch
Streaming availability comes from our own data collection and can be out of date or vary by country, so check the service before you subscribe or pay. Links take you to each service's own site, where its terms apply. Some of these links are affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate, Cinema Atlas earns from qualifying purchases made through links to Amazon. This does not change the price you pay or which services we show.
Third-Party Links
Cinema Atlas links to other sites, including streaming services, TMDB, Wikipedia and YouTube. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices. Please review their terms before using them.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Cinema Atlas is provided on an "as-is" basis without warranties of any kind. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
- The accuracy or completeness of film data, descriptions, availability or Ask the Atlas answers
- The availability or functionality of the site
- That the site will be error-free or uninterrupted
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Cinema Atlas Incorporated will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the site.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If you keep using Cinema Atlas after an update, you accept the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
