A24 is an American independent film production and distribution company based in New York City. It launched in August 2012, released its first film, A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, in February 2013, and gained recognition with the box-office success of Spring Breakers that March. In late 2013, they made deals with Amazon Prime Video and DirecTV Cinema for the video-on-demand release
