Critic argued · Italy → France

I have seen almost all of Rosi's films, starting with Salvatore Giuliano. I have admired The Mattei Affair [Il caso Mattei] particularly. It shows how one can tell a complicated political story with great clarity and suspense. That film certainly helped me define the style of Special Section.
