His most significant film is 'The Mirror'. It is a film about human memory, and how human memory is structured. This is why it is so close to me.

Tarkovsky's 'Mirror' is one of them, the non-linear narrative, the way he dealt with memory, was very inspiring.

Tarkovsky is one of them. 'The Mirror' is probably my favorite film by him. Not so much because it directly influences me, but because it gives me a lot of freedom.
-
Tarkovsky, especially Mirror and Stalker, for their dream-like quality and the way they blend memory, reality, and vision. That kind of non-linear, impressionistic storytelling is something I'm always drawn to.

Tarkovsky is a huge one. Mirror is a film that I revisit often. The way he constructs a sense of dread and beauty, often from very mundane things, and the way he uses natural elements... it’s just incredible. I think 'The Lighthouse' definitely has some of that Tarkovsky bleakness and atmosphere, even though it's much more grotesque.
