Hammer was huge for me – I loved The Witches [1966], The Devil Rides Out [1968]... I’d watch them all the time. But I think probably more the look of them. The art direction and the set design are beautiful. I loved the way those films looked.

I grew up with things like The Wicker Man and Penda’s Fen and Robin Redbreast, those kind of ‘70s BBC ghost stories and folk horror.
